I’m considering buying an iphone is it really worth it?

I got a new iphone 3G. its working perfectly except i hate the auto-correction while texting, and all my mates’ iphones have a auto-correction on/off button, but mine doesn’t!
can you help me please it is so annoying…
Well it doesn’t have the auto corection thing in keyboard and settings.. Thats the problem actually..:S
